The Friendly Butcher - Lasagna

So I happened upon this awesome little butcher shop a while back when I decided I wanted to start getting my meats from a butcher instead of the grocery store. The grocery store is ok, and when I'm really busy I will go to grab a few cuts of meat, but I much prefer to head on down to my local friendly butcher. I'll do another post dedicated more to the shop on a later date, but today I am posting about one of their frozen meals.

The lasagna is probably one of my husband's favourites from the Friendly Butcher. It's really tasty and super meaty, unlike some other frozen lasagna's you can get in the grocery store which are more sauce than meat, this one does not skimp on the meat.

(Meaty goodness)

Now don't be fooled, it may look at bit small, but it will feed 4 people, if not more, just add some garlic bread and salad and you've got a quick and easy but more importantly tasty meal.

(Perfect accompaniment for a glass of wine)

So I highly recommend checking out the Friendly Butcher (Yonge and Lawrence area), they have a huge selection of frozen meals, soups, pre-marinated meats, rotisserie chicken, fresh made sandwiches (which I will try one of these days) and of course a nice big, bright counter of all sorts of meats, chicken and sausage. Very knowledgeable and helpful with any cooking questions you might have.  And trust me they really are friendly, I bet you can't leave there without having a smile on your face.

Happy eating!
