The Burger's Priest - Or what I call an awesome Friday afternoon!

You may recall two of my previous posts; Butter Ave and The Rolling Pin, where I ventured out in the heat in search of a fun food adventure. Well to end my day of food finding, I headed to a little place called The Burger's Priest. The are several locations, this particular one is at Yonge and Lawrence.

So the restaurant itself is pretty small. The top picture is taken from the middle table, so there is only three or four tables not shown, so small, but like they say good things come in small packages. It can get pretty busy during lunch and dinner hours, I have actually waited in a line outside of the restaurant, but it moves pretty quick, just don't expect to get a seat (I was there at 3pm on a Friday and it was pretty empty) The burgers range from your everyday cheeseburger, to aptly named Option and Priest. There is also a secret menu, which you can access on their website ( The Burger's Priest ) after answering a skill testing question (not math), and it's quite impressive, with some pretty awesome pictures. You should also note that it is cash only, they do have an ATM at the cash, but it's easier just to have cash on you.

I've been to The Burger's Priest multiple times, and the first few times I was kinda meh about it. I guess because there is so much hype around the restaurant, I was maybe expecting a life changing experience, but I have come back around and I really do love this place. They grind their meat on site several times a day, and they cook on a flat top. If you check out their website you can tell they are pretty passionate about making the best possible burger, the most simplistic way they can. It's refreshing to find a "fast food" joint (I use the term loosely for this place) that takes pride in their ingredients and don't try to cover up with fancy toppings and all sorts of additives.

And there it is, my magnificent cheeseburger.  There are a lot of options to choose from, but I like to go with the good old cheeseburger, with just a few toppings. I got mayo, ketchup, onions and pickles. The bun is really soft and tastes really fresh.  The meat is ah-maze-ing! It holds together while you are holding it, but once you bite into it, it sorta melts in your mouth (kinda like M&Ms, melts in your mouth not in you hands). It's cooked to perfection (I really don't like my burgers cooked anything less than well done), moist, not overly greasy, with just a hint of saltiness. The toppings complement the burger well, but do not over power it, you can definitely taste the fresh meat. I love this place so for sure it gets my stamp of approval!!

So there you have it, the end of my food eating adventure (finally!) but don't fret there will be plenty more to come (I love food, in case you hadn't noticed ;) )

Happy Eating!
